It's my birthday

Or at least, it was yesterday. Yes, the big 3-6 has hit. Yargh. I didn't feel too badly about it to be honest. When Jeremy got home from work, he fed the baby for me and gave me breakfast in bed (aw). He also gave me a charm bracelet and a box of chocolates .... :)
My mother visited and gave me a book voucher, which won't last long, but my dilemma is: buy a book (I don't buy a lot of books) or get a DVD? I though I might get Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill, I've been wanting to read it but then again, I can get it out of the library. Hmmm ... OR I could get Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on DVD OR ... ooh, wait and use it on the new Harry Potter book! Decisions, decisions!
So mother visited and got to cuddle Patrick as he was awake, and left her mark (lipstick); and sang to him. It's nice to see, she loves Patrick to bits. I made her cry though (oops); I started a scrapbook for Patrick _ nothing fancy, just somewhere to keep all the bits and pieces and some photos. Anyway, I put in a photo of me and my Dad that was taken at Christmas 2004 and Mum saw it when I showed her the scrapbook and got a little weepy. My Patrick is named for my Dad, so I had to include it _ we're the caretakers for my Dad's memory now.
What else. Had a good day that is, until I ended up at the hospital in pain. PAIN!!! Did blood tests and such, and it wasn't gastro or anything, but I have to go and have an ultrasound to see if it's gallstones _ both my sisters have had their gallbladders out. But I can't think about it too much because the mere thought of going under general anasthetic gives me the screaming habdabs. But if that's what it is, then that's what it is.
Jeremy took today off work to take care of Patrick and once we got home from the hospital I pretty much stayed in bed for 12 hours. I do feel a lot better today and all the pain has gone. The Dr gave me a prescription for Losec and one for painkillers. Woo hoo!
What else? I'm in the home stretch on the iris picture for my friend's wedding _ I'm really hoping to get it done this week _ we'll see.
I'm learning _ slowly _ to do my stuff around Patricks' feeds/changing and it turns out that I have more time than I thought. Of course, having a lovely supportive husband helps.
Aw. On that extremely sappy note ... gotta go!

Aww Happy Birthday honey! I'm glad you're feeling a little better now.

Make the most of the time you've got now - you sure get a lot less once they're on the move lol. I don't have time for a loo break now lol. It's so good though. You'll love it!
